Updating the Blog

So, ok, I haven't posted in a long time. In that time I've left and gone to Fl. to see my parents, sister, and friends. My older boy has started the third grade and my DH had a hot disc ( a chiropractic term) so lost a week of school in the process. I also have decided to get "sliced and diced" by the orthopedist I saw about 2 weeks ago. I feel like I've done pretty much all that I can to get rid of this tendonitis in my elbow that I've had for 2 years now. I'm not really crazy about it but I feel like it's a necessary evil. One good thing is that this dr. works with the NY Giants so I figure if he's good enough for the Giants, he's good enough for me. Needless to say, I won't be knitting for a while, I just don't know how long. I have a knitting retreat scheduled for November and I have EVERY intention on attending it. I don't care if I have to sit there and listen to everyone else's needles clicking away, just to be in that atmosphere will do alot to calm me. There is a certain zen quality about knitting that I don't think you can get anywhere else. At least, there isn't for me.

On the needles I have The Very Thought Of Him, which is very easy to knit up so far, and I have DH's Inishmore, too. I WILL finish it, hopefully before next winter begins. My poor DH, he's been so patient with me. Unfortunately, those cables just make my elbow hurt like a bee-atch.

You know, one of these days I'm going to post with some pictures. That day is not today.
