In the Home Stretch!

Yes, it's true...I'm at the home stretch of finishing up Giselle. Obviously, I did NOT wear it for L.'s wedding, and it would have been too hot anyway. It was easily over 90 degrees last Saturday and naturally the wedding was outdoors. It was in a park, which is a nice idea, but not when it's stinking hot and humid. I ended up buying a dress, at an excellent bargain price I might add, with a cotton bolero that came out to less than $35.00! I looked good in it too, if I must say so myself. I love it when I can find a bargain and be happy about the purchase, too.

In any case, the night before the weddding, I just sat there, trying to figure out the crochet parts of Giselle and I just couldn't wrap my mind around it. All my pieces were done and all I had to do was to put it together. I'm very sorry to say that the directions for this part of Giselle are highly in need of a good revision. IMHO, they are not very clear at all. Because of this, I've been making it up as I go along, but at the same time, trying to crochet the pieces together so they at least look somewhat like what are in the pictures. I wish those were clearer, too.

Enough of my kvetching! I am hoping by this time next week, Giselle will be done!!
